It is always such an honor to capture such special moments for such special people. If it wasn't for my boyfriend, I would have never met this amazing couple and their three adorable puppers. They have become some of my really close friends and I am so lucky I get to call this my job.
Sergio and I planned for weeks in advance on how to make this proposal a complete surprise and not make it obvious that I was there and what was about to go down. I only brought one camera to make it a little less obvious that it was a full on shoot. Since they were leaving two days after the planned proposal for a trip to Costa Rica, we decided the best way to go about this was to have a puppy play date before they took off.
So, the day comes around and we are all there for our puppy play date. We hike up to Taylor's favorite spot on the property. I act as if I am just taking photos of the dogs playing (but in reality I was just testing my lighting and making sure I was dialed in).
In order to make it less obvious, Sergio and I decided that the "cue" to propose would be "hey guys, get all the pups and lets take a family photo." After I snapped the family photo, the pups split, Taylor stood up and Sergio stayed on one knee. (I know, right?! Cue the tears).
